Hello and welcome to Jaihart!
If you're following along with the Cooking with Cricut Love Song Blog Hop and you've just left the very talented Jenny R you're in the right place! If you've just come across my blog and would like to follow along you can start here. It's all about Love Songs....
When I think about my favorite love song, immediately Tim McGraw's "Best Friend" song pops into my head! That song depicts my husband perfectly. The first time I heard that song I was on a plane to Miami, FL. I had just put random new songs I had never heard on my IPOD...the original IPOD...still black and white..old school...gotta love it....anyways, the moment I heard this song I started to cry because every word he was singing was how I felt about my husband! It's a wonderful song and I still cry every time I hear it! It's just the best song! Sorry to get sappy with you there for second...ha!
Here's my project
"Life with you makes perfect sense...."
the inside says...
I used Imagine more cards for the heart cut at 1.0
The children are from Nursery Rhymes (pat-a-cake) cut at 2.5
I actually used a sewing machine for the edges
The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby
I just typed out "Life with you makes perfect sense..... you're my best friend" on the computer

DeleteLove your song choice and your design. My favorite love song is "you had me from hello" by Kenny Chesney
ReplyDeleteThank you! Great song choice!
DeleteJill, you chose a wonderful song as the inspiration for the lovely card you made for your husband. My song is Michael Bolton - Once in a Lifetime. You can read the lyrics here - http://www.lyricsdepot.com/michael-bolton/once-in-a-lifetime.html We both made huge changes in our lives to be together - especially me and my 2 kids moving almost 300 miles from where we've spent our lives and joining him and his 2 kids. Whenever I felt a little overwhelmed with the kids or a little homesick, my husband would play this song for me to reassure me, all will be well. And it was. I am a follower!
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful and caring husband you have! Sweet story! I'm honored you're a new follower! Smiles, Jill
DeleteAwww Jill, such a great story. Thanks so much for sharing how this song makes you feel. :) And I LOVE the card - may favorite part is how you used the silhouette of the children - so super sweet! :) And since I can't sew, your use of the sewing machine impresses the heck out of me! :)
ReplyDeleteNita
Thanks Nita! I just made myself learn to sew. I figured if my grandmother could sew, so could I! She's afraid of computers and I always tell her, you can't break them, just try....so I took my own advice and taught myself to sew!
DeleteThank you! smiles, Jill
