It's a Delight

Today I have a dessert that is super quick and easy! Over the weekend, we went to our good friends' house. Our task was to bring a healthy dessert. With 2 young children running around, the quicker the better these days! I saw the cover of Martha Stewart for June and she had a cake with strawberries on it, and so I remembered a family favorite summer dessert  Angel food cake, strawberries and cool whip.

So I sent my husband to the our favorite grocery store Martin's to get these items.  Well, while he was there, they had a cheesecake delight topping they were sampling...of course he had to try it! He said it was WAY better than our usual recipe so he had to buy it.

Here is the end result....

We bought pre-sliced strawberries (just to save on time) and crushed them.
Sliced the Angel Food Cake.
Added the Cheesecake Delight topping (our grocer Martin's had it as a special but I'm sure you can buy it at the store by the sour cream, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, etc...)
Spread the crushed strawberries on top
Put the Angel Food Cake top back on
Spread the Cheesecake Delight Topping on the top
Added sliced strawberries!
