Cooking With Cricut Blog Hop

Welcome to Jaihart (J♥) and the CookingWithCricut.com “Adopt A Shelter Pet”  Blog Hop!

CookingWithCricut.com

October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, but we wanted to honor and celebrate all of our furry friends!   If you've come from visiting Nita at Nita Notes, you're in the right place! p.s. She's from Canada and my husband was so excited when he found that out;) He has Canadian relatives! Also, she made the cutest teddy bear chef card for our #55 challenge (check it out)! If  you've just happened across my blog and would like to hop along with us, you can go to CookingWithCricut.com and start at the beginning.

Here is my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Leo! He's 5 years old and is the best dog ever! He is wonderful with my children and very protective of us.  We love him very much!

Isn't this just hysterical!  We had these taken when my son was 14 months! I just had to share it!

Here's the card I made in his honor:

IT'S a POP UP Card!
So fun!
This is my first one I've ever done, and I'm totally going to be making more!

Recipe:
Cricut Cartridge: Everyday Pop Up Cards
Paper: Neutral Cardstock from Joann Fabrics, Heidi Grace Designs Cardstock from Joann Fabric
Adhesive  and foam adhesive

I made this card for my Aunt whose scottie dog just passed away:( So sad. She loved him very much and I know she misses him! So here's the card I made to try to cheer her up.

 Recipe:
Cricut Cartridge: Just Because Cards
Paper:Heidi Grace Designs Cardstock from Joann Fabric
Punch: Martha Stewart

I had to add this picture of my dog nephew, Cooper!  He's Leo's good buddy.  Cooper likes to tailgate at Purdue football games!  Isn't he just the best?!  Look at his jersey!  I just love it!

It's a BLOG HOP right? So I've got to have BLOG CANDY?! Yes, I do!

I'd love for you to join my blog (just click on the button on the right hand side) but it's not necessary to win my blog candy.  All you have to do is comment below....tell me what kind of pet you have and your pet's name!  I love pet names, btw! Oh and you should check back on Monday, October 24th to see if you're the winner:)

Now head on over to Holly's blog at Ribbons and Glue. She makes the cutest 3-D papercrafts! I just saw this adorable Halloween wreath she made the other day! So cute! Now hop on over to see what she's cooked up for you!

Thanks for joining us!

  4. Great job on both cards. I know your Aunt with appreciate the card. When we lost our cat Saturday Morning. We were heart broken and the card from the vet helped. We have 2 kitties now, since Saturday Morning is gone. We have Friday Night, who we got at the same time as Saturday. Then because Friday cried all the time with out Saturday, we got Prince Phillip.
