Heidi Swapp Memory File concept

Heidi Swapp is amazing! I love her style! Have you seen her memory files? LOVE THEM! You can check out her products here. This is a memory file I created with some materials I had on hand. I loved this concept so much I'm going to be getting some of her products very soon!
     I created this memory file for a friend who invited us over for a bocce ball tournament. In case you're wondering, "Asleson" is my friend's last name.

Here is the inside....I created an astro turf album and a Thank You card using one of Heidi's freebies from her website. You can check that out here.

Whoo Hoo! Party Favor is Published!

OMG! I walked into Hobby Lobby on Friday and what did I see? The magazine my party favor is published in! I saw it online but never actually got to hold it and look at it! So excited! They surprised me with a 3 page layout and a tutorial of my project! I didn't know they were going to do that! The fun thing about this favor is that each child created their own! It was an activity that we did at my son's birthday party last year! So excited and in shock to have this project published!

How is everyone's weekend? Mine has been super awesome! Friday night was another date night with my husband! SO FUN! Then Saturday we went boating, tubing, swam in a lake, and got to ride a donkey! We also got to celebrate my awesome bro in laws bday! Fun times! What have you been up to?

Yet Another Super Fun Money Card

It's birthday card mania over here! I have another birthday card I made for my other darling cousin. You may remember the other card I posted here. It is the same concept just a different style. I received a comment on my last card from Creative M, who said that she was thinking of making one of these cards and putting candy in it! Isn't that a great idea?! Super Fun Money Birthday Card

Who LOVES Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop? I do I do! These programs are my  favorites! Here is a simple card I made for my teenage cousin. Teenagers are so into getting money as presents. So I stitched a piece of cardstock to the back of this card I made, and voila a money pocket!

We went to lake and hung out with great friends!

The hubs and I got to have date night on Friday, which was AMAZING!

Bakers Twine

Hello Friends! Have you heard of the super awesome company called Pick Your Plum? They have all different sorts of things that they sell. They have only a limited amount of each item, so their tag line, "Get it before you neighbor does" is totally true! Their items go FAST because they are so super cheap...inexpensive that is! You may have noticed on my sidebar that I have a link to their website on a regular basis. I noticed this deal today and had to share it with you today because...... I LOVE Bakers twine! I use it to wrap presents, use on cards, banners, and so many other things! Look at all those super fun colors! Dishwasher labels

If you read my post yesterday you might have seen that we spent our 4th of July up at the lake. Well, while we were there I spotted this super cute craft that my darling cousin made.

Want to make some?

You'll need:

Luggage Laminating pouches-you can purchase these at any office supply store

Document laminator- which you can purchase at Target...not to expensive like $20. I use mine to laminate pages for books that my son and I make.

Scrapbook paper

Sticker letters

Ribbon

Steps:

1. Cut your paper to fit inside your laminating pouches

2. Put "Clean" and then "Dirty" letter stickers on scrapbook paper

3. Put pouch inside laminator

4. Take out and Tie ribbon on!

5. Enjoy!

My 17 year old cousin came up with this craft! Isn't she great?!

She is quite crafty and always amazes me with her talent!
