Happy 5 Year Anniversary to my Hubby!

I can't believe it's been 5 years!
I know I say this all the time, but where does the time go?
I was feeling a little nostalgic so I thought I would take you along memory lane with me!
Our wedding was a super fabulous time! My mom is to thank for all the gorgeous decor!
She is an awesome wedding planner! I told her she should be for hire!
This day was the start of something beautiful!
Being married is the best thing I could have ever done!
I love being married to my husband (most days...ha!)
He has taught me so much about myself and life!
He is so thoughtful, loyal,
and thinks of everyone else before himself.
I feel like the luckiest gal!

Here are some words of wisdom that we have lived by....

ok, maybe not....these are just some funny quotes by children

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY?
Answers by children

1. You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming. Alan, aged 10

2. No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck with.  Kirsten, age 10

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?
1. Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then. Camille, age 10

2. No age is good to get married at. You got to be a fool to ge married.
Freddie, age 6 (very wise for his age)

HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?

1. You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.
Derrick, age 8

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD
HAVE IN COMMON?
1. Both don't want any more kids.
Lori, age 8

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?
1. Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.
Lynnette, age 8 (isn't she a treasure)

2. On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date. Martin, age 10

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE
THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?
1. I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.
Craig, age 9

WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?
1. When they're rich.
Pam, age 7

2. The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with that.
Curt, age 7

3. The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.
Howard, age 8

IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?
1. I don't know which is better, but I'll tell you one thing; I'm never going to have sex with my wife. I don't want to be all grossed out.
Theodore, age 8

2. It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.
Anita, age 9 (bless you child)

HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT
IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED?
1. There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there  Kelvin, age 8

And the Favorite is........
HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?
1. Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck.
Ricky, age 10

Let's Spell It Out..You are the BEST....

Daddy week has been a BLAST!
If you have missed any of it you can check out the
 Bananas for Daddy here,
Dynamite Dad here
Tea-rrific Dad here

For this fun little treat we took
Trader Joe's Schoolhouse Cinnamon Alphabet Cookies
and covered them in chocolate!

We spelled out DADDY
and put the letters in this box.

Wrapped the box with Washi tape
and used this printable I made
You can download

If you've never downloaded a printable follow these directions.....ENJOY!
You will be brought to Photobucket. You will not see the word "File" but if you take your mouse to the upper left hand corner of the printable, you will see it. Go to File then a drop down menu will pop up and go to download! There you have it! Now you can download and print away! Also, when in doubt, just right click right on the image and click "Save As". Then you can save the printable to your computer.  My printer allows me to print at different sizes like 8X10 and 5X7 along with the quantity to be printed off! Let me know if you have any questions because I was a lost puppy when it came to printables at first!

Have a Super fun day!

Tea-rrific Dad!

Our daddy LOVES Snapple Peach tea!
Therefore, we had to get him some for "Daddy Week!"
All we did to make this was obviously buy Snapple Tea.
Then we put up a piece of cardstock and traced the lines of the box.
Then we cut it out and wrote on it. To adhere it we used Washi tape!
That stuff has really come in handy!

Have a super fun day!

Daddy, We're Bananas for YOU!

We love our Daddy!
Therefore, we like to extend Father's Day to a week long celebration!
For Day 1, which was yesterday our Daddy got a jar filled with banana chips.
They are his new fav!
These banana chips are not just any banana chips,
they are Trader Joe's Vacuum Fried Banana Chips!
When we were visiting my brother and sister in law over the weekend,
I stocked up on them since we don't have a Trader Joe's close to us unfortunately!
These are the absolute BEST!
I thought they weren't as healthy as regular banana chips since the word "fried",
is on their package, but they claim they are half the fat! Hmmm..who would've known?!
They are the BEST banana chips!

Here's what we did to make this present....

We got this jar from Target and made this tag.
You can download the tag here.
To finish off the jar we adhered the tag with washi tape.

If you've never downloaded a printable follow these directions.....ENJOY!
You will be brought to Photobucket. You will not see the word "File" but if you take your mouse to the upper left hand corner of the printable, you will see it. Chocolate Covered Oreo Lollipops!

Friends, I can't believe that my son is done with preschool! Crazy! You may remember the cute little ladybug magnets we made for my son's teachers in the beginning of the school year. If not, you can check out the post here. Since it was the end of the year, (which I cannot believe...time really does fly doesn't it?) we knew we wanted to make another cute little gift. Sooo.....my son and I made these Oreo Lollipops for his teachers as an end of the year gift

Here is the card inside that my son decorated with a glance of the Oreo Lollipop without the wrapping.

My little guy so proud of what he made.

Here he is telling you how he made this treat!

I was thinking at how versatile this cute little gift is....  Since Father's Day is coming up you could change the ribbon to match Dad's favorite color or even use some type of rope!! For a special birthday treat you could add your friend or even co-worker's favorite color ribbon....or you could even leave this treat as a special good luck for your child on a test or a sporting event! The possibilities are endless!!!!

So want to learn how to make this fun treat???

They are so easy and fun to make!

Ingredients:
oreos
chocolate
lollipop sticks
wax paper

Steps
1.Melt Chocolate according to package directions.
2. Lay wax paper down
3.Dip oreos in chocolate, leaving a tiny little hole in the bottom so the stick can fit its way in
4. Lay oreos on wax paper and allow chocolate to harden
5. Once the chocolate is hardened take your lollipop stick and put it into the hole that you left in the bottom
6. I drizzled white chocolate on top to make it look fancy!:)
7. Enjoy!

Have a Super day!

Lilly's Garden Party

My daughter had her first birthday and so of course it was an excuse for me to go all out and have a fun bash!
The theme was Lilly's Garden Party

For the table....
-I used astro turf as a tablecloth
-Lattice for the backdrop to hold pictures of Lilly for each month to see her growth throughout the year
-lanterns hung above the table
-pots held cake pops, ice cream, and the dirt pudding
-the banner in front you can find more info about here

This picture is a perfect representation of my son and how excited he was about the food on the table! He watched me all week get ready for the party and I kept saying "Not until Sunday"...so he was super happy that Sunday had finally arrived!

Food-

Dirt pudding in terra cotta pots.
I attached flowers to the top to make flower spoons!

Fun Flower Cake pops!

The cake had real pansies on it!

Lilly LOVED her cake! I'm glad it was such a big hit!

Fun for the Children-

When the children arrived at the door they received headbands (either flower headbands or butterfly headbands whichever they decided) or bug hats for the boys.
My son decided to take his off for the picture!  Darn!

The children planted seeds of their choosing.

They painted birdhouses

All in all, it was such a fun party! The birthday girl had a BLAST and that is most important!

Maybe a little too much fun? This party girl is pooped!

CWC Tiara or Crown project

Hello friends! I am happy to say that we are celebrating Cooking with Cricut 2 year Blogaversary! How fun!
There are prizes to be won and free graphics to be printed! So go take a look at all the fun right here.

The theme for today is to add a Tiara or Crown to your project.

You may remember in my last post, that I made monogram glasses for my mom for her birthday as one of her presents. You can check them out here. Well, this is the card that I made for her to go with the glasses and other goodies! I hope she likes everything!

To make this card I used the Once Upon a Princess Cart and cut the crown out at 1.5 inches!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a super day!

Smiles,

Jill
